Wow, it’s been a while. A loooong while.
I won’t be getting into details of where I’ve been, what I’ve done etc. The important thing is I’m great, are you all great? I really hope you are.
Now, I had a really hard time debating wether or not I will return to this blog and how to return if I decide to, so, I’ve decided to do this tag. Since my blog is relatively new (not by age but by it’s activity… just let me do it, I’ve already convinced myself it’s the right thing to do).
I absolutely can not find the owner of this tag – or if it’s just the booktube one- and I’ve seen it around on multiple other blogs (kaypuccinoreads, stuckinthebook…). If you know who created it, please reply so I can tag them.
☆ WHY DID YOU START THIS BLOG?
It has been my longtime wish to create my personal space on the internet where I can share my love for my favourite books and also rant about those that I really did not like. I was a bit hesitant at the beginning because I was not sure if I will have time to post regulary (spoiler alert- I was right). But I guess I just want to have a space for my thoughts and ideas.
☆ FUN/UNIQUE THINGS YOU CAN BRING TO BOOK BLOGGING?
Always hated this question. I do not feel special enough to say that I can bring anything unique/fun, but I guess I’ll try. I am a creative person I love to draw, to knit, to play with digital art, make music.. so I guess I might use my creative side here. It will be a challenge but I like challenges.
☆ WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEW BLOG?
Everything. Sharing my thoughts. Hearing other people’s thoughts. Reading through comments – my favourite part… ooh can’t wait to start writing new articles.
☆WHY DO YOU LOVE READING?
Oooh there are so many answers to this question.
Firstly I do love to read for escapism. Mainly fantasy, because at times this world can become a little dull and I need a bit more action.
Secondly I love how you can learn so much about other cultures and other ways of thinking just by reading what people have written. And how they allow you access to their private worlds and stories. It’s just amazing.
Thirdly there are nonfiction books which I just love to read because I am a curious person.
☆WHAT BOOK OR SERIES GOT YOU INTO READING?
I do not remember. I’ve been reading since I was 4. Mostly native fairytales. And.. well HP.
I think Vampire Academy and Twilight brought back my love for these modern books when I was in 7th or 8th grade. (before that I’ve mainly read classics for school and for fun)
☆WHAT QUESTIONS WOULD YOU ASK YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS?
- Which character could be your best friend?
- What inspired you to create such a world?
- What is (insert character name here) favourite food?
☆ BOOK BLOG CHALLENGES THAT ARE HARDEST TO OVERCOME
Consistency… consistency… consistency!
Reading slumps and what to write about when I’m in one. Is it okay just not to read would people be interested in movies/shows… sometimes. It’s hard.
☆ WHEN DID YOU START READING?
As I’ve already mentioned I was pretty much reading books since I was 4, YA since I was 13, had a bit of a slower reading years when I was 18-19 and came back to books on my second year of uni.
☆ WHERE DO YOU READ?
If I can see, I can read. Honestly, there is no place I can not read.
☆ WHAT KIND OF BOOKS DO YOU LIKE TO READ?
I love detective stories and fantasy, but I am starting to enjoy literary fiction more and more every month (Akwaeke Emezi… my hero). I also really like classics because I am interested in what have they contributed to their time. Those would be my prefered genres.
Now, I really do read everything when I get in the specific mood (right now I’m in my sci-fi mood).
And that’s it. YAY.
Wow I do not remember how to write anymore. This wasn’t an easy task (keep in mind, I’m a scientist, not a writer).
I hope you enjoyed reading this. Thank you for reading this.
Talk to you soon. Bye.
welcome back !!
